Jamaican native Shauna D. attended the University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in International Business-Marketing and a certificate in Music Business. The proud Georgia Bulldog advanced her education and earned her Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. She may be a Bulldog alumni, but you will quickly learn that Shauna D. has a bulldog work ethic and dedicates her time and effort into being the best professional she can be. Thus she wants her clients and her talent to achieve their goals with her guidance and experience creating a dominant team in the entertainment industry. Furthermore, she is a member of the Producers Guild of America.
Production Legal services
Production Legal services includes the provision of all legal needs surrounding pre-production, production, and post-production of creative properties for all media. We represent producers who need all of the associated agreements as well as key talent who are negotiating with producers on specific agreements.
Production legal can encompass scripted and unscripted properties – television, film, and all other media, and includes, but is not limited to:
- Single purpose entity start-up and paperwork
- Production services agreement
- Guild and union agreements and compliance
- Chain of title organization and opinions
- Copyright and title report oversight
- Tax incentive agreements
- Above-the-line agreements (all types of screenwriter agreements; producer; director; key actors, including diversity riders aka inclusion riders)
- Below-the-line agreements (crew and secondary cast)
- Location agreements
- Name, likeness, and credit obligation memo/opinion letters
- Advise on third-party clearances and product placement agreements
- Post-production sound and pictorial house deals
- Music licensing and/or music production/recording agreements
- Review of vendor contracts (laboratory, vendor and payroll company agreements)
- Organization of all legal documents for delivery to distribution channels
Talent Management
We focus on overseeing the day-to-day business affairs of a talent; advise long-term plans and personal decisions which may affect their career which includes: branding, social media management, business development, and consulting.
Screenplay Writers and Producers Representation
We are currently only accepting submissions from those who have an established track record in film, television, and film festivals submissions particularly in the form of produced credits. We will only consider established directors. Please do not submit if you do not meet these requirements – we will be unable to consider you for representation.
We do not represent ideas for game shows, reality or entertainment television formats. We only represent the film rights in books by our existing clients.

Your submission should include:
A covering letter
Your writing resume
One sample script of a complete feature-length film, or TV episode
A short synopsis or description of that script
Screenplays should be a PDF, Word or Rich Text attachment and registered with a writers’ guild
Please note that the department is very small and we are extremely limited as to the number of new clients we can take on. We receive a large number of submissions so it may take 12 weeks or more before we are able to review your material. We do not have the time or resources to acknowledge receipt of every submission. Please do not ask for a response until 8-10 weeks have elapsed from the date of your submission.
Due to the volume of submissions we are unable to write individual letters, nor can we offer feedback or editorial comment. Although we do our best to respond to every submission, we cannot guarantee a reply.
Film and Script Pitch Services
Shauna D. & Co, LLC represents filmmakers who want to distribute their completed films. We will work with filmmakers to help develop a strategy for pitching and selling the film they want to theaters and selected network
Nonprofit Registration:
- File Paperwork to form a nonprofit (pay the state fee separately)
- Draft Bylaws
- Publicize the formation in the local newspaper
- Retrieve EIN
- Lastly, obtain tax forms together for the 501c3 to be tax exempt
